Road Warriors, Bob and Ray, with hedgehog friend, Emily, hard at work on their
site.
Hi. We're Bob and Ray. We are two stuffed animals who travel with our
human companion on trips, business or otherwise. Bob is a Great White
Shark and
Ray is a Stingray. We used to live in San Diego (and then Austin,
Texas), but moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, because,
well, there just weren't enough elasmobranchs here (either).
We
know we've been pretty lame about getting the other road trips' (Cincinnati,
Nebraska, New Orleans, Grand
Canyon, Palm Springs, Breeder's Cup, NYC, etc.) photos scanned in, but we're hoping to remedy that in the
coming weeks! Thanks for your continued patience :-) (We did get
the Sacramento page up, though.) We
expect to have a totally
different look and feel....well, not us, specifically, but the site,
certainly - we'll still be a shark and a ray.
We're working on the latest concept for our site, a dining out page. We hope to add some transportation and
lodging reviews, as well. The quest for a consistent theme and navigation scheme has
also kept us up at night - we hope you like the theme, our variation of
Highway (yes, we use FrontPage (XP)...Resistance is futile....). Nothing too fancy yet, but we're getting there!
Probably the most exciting thing you'll notice right now is that we're
making use of Internet Explorer 5.5/6's ability to recognize fancy scrollbars.
Old news by
now, but by request, we now have a midi file page on our site. All of the
background midi files we use can be heard/downloaded here.
We have also included some other tunes we like, most of which are in the
public domain. The
background sound is for this page is Beethoven's Moonlight
Sonata. We've decided "Bob and Ray" work really well as words to the right
hand notes. If you don't like background music and you're using Microsoft Internet
Explorer you can press the ESC key to make it stop. If you are using another
browser scroll to the end of the page and press the stop button on the small control
panel.
Thanks for stopping by to check out our road trips. If you have any comments,
Our buddy Skippy has acquired his own domain name, www.skippysmusicpage.com,
so head on over and check it out! Bob's cousin, Chuck, featured
in some of the Grand Rapids photos, has moved his website, devoted
to San Diego, to a spot on our
site. Currently he's featuring pages on La Jolla Cove and
Torrey Pines State Reserve, with more to come - he recently added
some photos from Alpine in East San Diego County and the Aerospace
Museum. There are pictures of us, too! Lastly, Zippy and
Crunch, while not both elasmobranchs (Zippy is a zebra), have
graciously moved their upcoming zoo site to our servers. We'll
let you know when they're ready for viewing.
